A few days ago at the Old Truman Brewery, the white runway was laid out, the guests and VIPs were seated ready to kick off day 2 of the biggest and most talked about African fashion show in London; yes it was the 3rd edition of Africa Fashion Week London which opened its doors from 1st to 3rd August with a closing gala at the Dorchester and as previously reported our client Liiber London was on show…
The collection on show was named TRON inspired by the futuristic film of the same name. The collection brings a futuristic reflection to dresses and ensembles through the use of colours, shapes and lines to create modern wearable silhouettes.
Liiber London founded by Anrette Ngafor Akinyele is a brand that promotes the concept of self expression with collections that carefully interpret a story and a theme captured through a melange of colours, shapes and styles; the signature of the brand. The brand targets women who have got verve, drive and a free spirit and are above all unique just like their one off exquisite pieces.
Below are some runway images captured by photographer Rob Sheppard.
The collection was well received and the reviews have been encouraging with some saying “clean cut, versatile, inspiring, elegant, tells a story, great craftsmanchip, just mindblowing” and a male observer had this to say “simple and elegant“.
