MMPR FOCUS: CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL 2014 (UPDATED)

So after a thrilling game which was to see the Atlético Madrid team claim their first UEFA competition, it all went topsy turvy at the last minute.

Defender Sergio Ramos headed the ball to clinch a late minute equaliser which then turned the game to their favour as it drew the match to extra time. Di Maria proved his worth and that he was the real man on the pitch as he assisted Gareth Bale net the 3rd goal.

The steam finally ran out for the red and white team as the galàcticos proved to be a touch better and full of energy and hunger adding 1 more goal to the sheet with Ronaldo scoring the 4th (by penalty) respectively.

10 times lucky and it is now “La Decima” for Real and 2 times runner-up for Atlético 40 years later.

Congrats to Ancelloti and his team although we were rooting for Diego Simeone and the guys in red and white! Ah well, 3rd time lucky perhaps?! Goodnight.
