Hello all, we have been a little bit MIA on the blog updates and we apologise for that. Here we are with a quick review to show you some of the things we have been up to during the time away and also to reveal some of our favourite hangouts around London. We will endeavour to keep up the reviews of places and products so you too can be in the know *wink*
Last weekend was a long one for many of us as we celebrated the death and rising of Jesus Christ on Easter time. The long weekend meant many had the opportunity to get away or just to relax and catch up with friends and family – we were no different!
Cynthia our head PR girl caught up with some friends for a late lunch date in North London in a new trendy and “in” venue on the high street in Wood Green. In case you are thinking Wood Green? Yes that’s right!
Tarshish is a new Turkish and Mediterranean grill restaurant that offers an unforgettable fine dining experience in a modern and chic surrounding. With a two-floor space, an elegant high end interior design, views across the area giving the impression of being on a rooftop and a fusion of both the Western and the Eastern cultures – Tarshish has become no doubt a place to be and to be seen. A sure hit especially during the summer months!
The menu is just as delightful; offering Turkish food as well as Western food. On our table, we went straight for the mains – two of us went for the mixed grill which came with a selection of lamb cubes, chicken and adana shish served with mac and cheese (rice is an alternative), garnished with tomato salad and red cabbage coleslaw. While the others went with lamb riblets which also came with tomato salad, mac and cheese and red cabbage coleslaw, and another opted for the halloumi starter and some mac and cheese for mains.
The food was delicious especially our mixed grill option. Even more delicious was the hot bread which was served on the tables with sauces that included peppers and garlic. It was so delicious, we ordered some more *laughs* For drinks, we ordered the pineapple and coconut juice option, hot tea and a cocktail.
The overall service was great, the restaurant was not very full so the waiters were attentive and ready to help and clear up the tables. We had time to sit after our meal to chit chat until we were ready to leave which was a few hours later. Overall, it was an excellent relaxing time off and you too should visit and experience it!
